Job Description

The DOT Certified Charter Driver will be responsible for operating our fleet of charter buses safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and a customer service-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safe Operation: Operate charter buses in a safe and efficient manner, complying with all DOT regulations and company policies.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to passengers, including assistance with boarding and luggage, addressing questions, and ensuring a comfortable travel experience.
• Route Management: Follow designated routes and schedules while adapting to changing traffic and weather conditions to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
• Vehicle Inspection: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good operating condition. Report any issues or needed repairs to the maintenance team.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, fuel usage, and passenger counts as required by DOT regulations and company policies.
• Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatchers, tour guides, and passengers.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of seat belts, proper loading and unloading procedures, and emergency response actions.
• Cleanliness: Ensure the interior and exterior of the bus are clean and presentable at all times.

Qualifications

• DOT Certification: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement and current DOT medical certification.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably charter buses.
• Clean Driving Record: No major traffic violations or accidents in the past 2 years.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Skills: Excellent driving skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to handle stressful driving conditions.
• Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required.
